A flexible absorbing material was prepared by mixing nitrile rubber with homemade flake carbonyl iron powder with silica coating.The effect of microwave-absorber content and thickness on microwave absorption properties in the range of 1~16GHz and mechanical properties were studied.The results shown that the flaking process of carbonyl iron powder could increase its permeability.The reflection loss of absorbing patch with thickness of 1.5mm and 85% FCIP@SiO2 reached -13.58dB at 2.18GHz.The microwave absorption properties of absorbing patch was not changed after 200℃ treatment for 24h,displaying good mechanical properties and high temperature resistance.
